Winterfaire

Hey Guys forms are due tomorrow

For Mango pudding and coconut jello: Nicole is donating ingredients so if we sell as $1 per piece, profit will be $120

For Hot chocolate and cookies... Not going to work in my opinion
Costco prices online ( don't know if they are cheaper at the store)- Starbucks hot chocolate ( $35 dollars for 112 cups of hot chocolate. $17 for 50 cups ( 100 cups $34) AND also the mix uses milk so it won't be cheap. If we sell at 100 cups at $1.50 per cup with cookies we might not even make $40 dollars profit.

Apple Pie with whipped cream ( I still have to check)

We could always make waffles again... it's a lot of work but it was relatively profitable last time we sold around 93 waffles at around $3( although the price kept changing haha)made $200 profit. If we cut the waffle in half and sell it for $1.50, buy as much ingredients as last time, I think three times as many people will buy it which means a greater profit.

Tell me what you think asap.

Heyloo, here are the nominations followed by the number of votes per nominee. A lot of the papers didn't have last names on them, so I went by the sign in sheet and guess at who they were referring to. Hopefully I didn't get any wrong. Worship- Abi?
MC: Andrew
Talk about leadership (voted into effect 11/29/10
Explain new leadership system- Hannah
-Club Rep Dept- Andrew
- Secretary Dept- Annie?
-Worship Dept- Abi?
-PR Dept- Kim
Exec Dept-Hannah
Treasury Dept- Nicole/Hannah
( look over the duties for each and feel free to add additional duties)Emphasize the commitment of being a leader
At least one person from each dept has to be at the Agape Monday meeting and have to keep in regular contact with other members of the dept

Ask them to nominate people who they think fit the positions, make sure they don't nominate senior leaders or just nominate leaders
Announce elections are in 2 weeks (before that, leaders will talk to people who have been nominated)

End with guesstures if we have time

Changes to the leadership format:
Instead of all people in a dept be there on Mondays 60% of the time, one person from each department has to be there each week. This excludes the executive department because well... yea... they are president and vice president. This means there has to be really good contact and usage of the BLOG. Also all leaders still have to be at the regular Agape meetings 90% of the time.

NOT FOR WEDNESDAY
Winterfaire
mango pudding and coconut jello for $1
and apple pie with whipped cream $2
or hot chocolate and a cookie for $1.50 (need to check costs)

Agenda for Monday Meeting 11/29/10

2) Amend/vote on whether to accept the plan
3) Plan for Wednesday meeting
- Take yearbook picture whenever that yearbook person comes

-Talk about different leadership departments, duties in each, etc
-Ask people to nominate people who they think are good for a role (not a commitment, but to get people aware they have this talent)
- Encourage those people to come to Monday meetings to check learn more about the positions
-Games ( if there's time)
4) Talk about Winterfaire (apple pie and ice cream, mango jello?)
5) Debrief on Potluck (what was good, what can be done better)
6) End in Prayer

If the leaders fail to do so...... they endure my wrath? iono lol but yea I wanted to emphasize leadership is a commitment and should be taken as seriously as any other commitment

This will be taken into effect or not after a majority vote on 11/29/10

Rides to Potluck

Since not everyone is able to have a ride there, for the rest of us, could we meet up at the flagpole to get there as a group? If so, could someone mention on the facebook group we will be getting there as a group?

I think some people are not going, or maybe going because they don't know how to get there, or don't want to get there on their own

PROVERBS 15:18 A HOT TEMPERED MAN STIRS UP DISSENSION, BUT A PATIENT MAN CALMS A QUARREL
-Don't fight fire with fire
-A patient man "calms a quarrel" by taking the time to want to and understand the circumstances, being empathetic and listening with an open heart
-A patient man would not raise his voice
-A patient man reflects actions, considers different perspectives and receptions, waits
-An impatient person "stirs up dissension" by NOT taking the time to listen and thrusting his opinion upon the other.

PROVERBS 14:29 A PATIENT MAN HAS GREAT UNDERSTANDING, BUT A QUICK-TEMPERED MAN DISPLAYS FOLLY
-We can have "great understanding" by being patient. Be patient by waiting for God to reveal his will and wisdom to us. Be patient by waiting for circumstances to be revealed to us.
-Think before you act
-"Great understanding" means wisdom, but also acceptance and acknowledgement of differences (in opinions, or character, or personality)
-VS. a quick-tempered man who is rash and quick to judge

PROVERBS 16:32 BETTER A PATIENT MAN THAN A WARRIOR, A MAN WHO CONTROLS HIS TEMPER THAN ONE WHO TAKES A CITY

PROVERBS 19:11 A MAN'S WISDOM GIVES HIM PATIENCE; IT IS TO HIS GLORY TO OVERLOOK AN OFFENSE

PROVERBS 25:15 THROUGH PATIENCE A RULER CAN BE PERSUADED, A GENTLE TONGUE CAN BREAK A BONE

New Blog Site for Meeting Minutes! =D

Hey guys!
So I just made this blog site so we can keep discussing the MMMs after monday meetings, since we don't usually finish. Yup, so I guess we'll just have this as a discussion place.
