5. Discussion (Guide/Possible Discussion Questions)

Important Topics: Fishers of Men, Church, Follower of Christ

-What does the phrase "fishers of men" mean?

-Is the church like a family? Does the family back us up? Is it bibical?

-As a follower of Christ, have you ever given something up? (What is the cost?)  

-Notes: We can't follow Christ on our own. We are the planters, The Holy Spirit needs to be present.  

-Does your life look like Jesus'? (Ex. First instinct is to go off and pray)

-Are you obeying the things He's calling you to do?

-If Jesus calls you to do something, is it easier to turn away from him?  

-When you're trying to tell people about God, have you ever told them only the benefits without telling the cost? (What are the costs? The guarantees?)

-Is it worth it to follow Him? Why?

-What are the blessings you see in following Him/What's so great about it?

-Optional: If you are a follower of Jesus, why have you chosen to follow Him?
